I think everything posted made a ton of sense. However, consider this, what if you added a little information? I mean, I don't want to tell you how to run your blog, but what if you added something to possibly get a person's attention? I mean %BLOG_TITLE% is a little vanilla. You should look at Yahoo's front page and watch how they create news titles to grab viewers to click. You might add a video or a picture or two to get people excited about what you've written. In my opinion, it could make your posts a little livelier.
